    Sunday Ride at Warrior Creek

What: Sunday Ride at Warrior Creek

Where: Warrior Creek at Kerr Scott Reservoir – Wilkesboro, NC

When: Sunday, June 7, 2015 at 10:00 am

Plan: Meet at Warrior Creek Group Campground Area A at 10:am and ride with a group of triad area riders that are camping over the weekend. Warrior Creek, probably OVT and possibly more.

Trail info and directions are here:
    http://brushymtncyclists.com/mountain-biking/warrior-creek/

The trails close occasionally for bad weather. If the forecast looks sketchy, check for trail closings through the BMCC Twitter feed.

If the trails are closed, we aren’t riding.

If anybody wants to carpool or caravan they can post in this thread to find other interested folks.

The Wilkesboro weekend weather forecast looks better now than it did this morning. If the trails are open we ought to have great weather!

I’m planning on coming out too. Never been out to Warrior Creek so I need a bike to bring suggestion…I have…
    - Hardtail ‘rat bike’ on a Leader frame, XC setup
    - Full Suspension Transition Dirtbag Freestyle

I can get pretty aggressive on the hardtail. But any suggestions on what to ride?

    Thanks!

Where exactly is Campground Area A? Is this just referring to the main parking lot?

I think the hardtail would be the better bike for this trip. Smooth, flowy and bermy is the order of the day. Then again, I’m no expert.

Campground A is on the map in the link in the first post, it is labeled Group Area A.

The meet time says 10 am but, since everybody is traveling, we wont be rolling right at 10 to allow for any late comers. But we wont be waiting long so don’t tarry.
